NEWS 2002

Jan 30, 2002  We have 3 new members this month and the return of one we thought had left us. Witold Piwowar has returned, glad to have you back Witold.
New members are:

  • Steve McFarling from Seattle. 2002 Galaxy Silver Metallic Grand Prix GTP coupe

  • Guy Atkins from Bonney Lake. 1997 Bright Red Grand Prix GT coupe

  • Gary Yee from Vancouver, BC. 2002 Grand Prix GTP

And previously new to the club in 2001:

Updates on the Car Club Challenge schedule and a new link to our CCC permanent number assignments.

Jan 20, 2002  Full Car Club Competition schedule and rules are now up on the Car Club page. Pacific Raceways has stepped up with very good support of the Car Club series. There is also a link to a practice tree to sharpen your reaction time skills for the coming season.

Jan 18, 2002  Most pages have been updated including this News page, the 1/4 Mile Times, Calendar, Member's Rides, Car Club Challenge, Gallery and the Links page. I'm brainstorming on a new design since that is indicated to be desired by the bulk of the active members responding to the poll.

Jan, 2002  A photo shoot at the Museum of Flight is in the works, date yet to be determined. Keep your eye on the club calendar.

Decided. A mod day is coming but it won't be at RC's for a change. Steve Case has offered up a newly acquired facility that will host the event this year, the date is as yet undetermined. Stay tuned.

It's a strange feeling already being into the second year of the new millennium. With this year comes new management for our closest drag race facility. SIR is gone, long live Pacific Raceways. Jay Livingston will run the drag strip and if you can judge his success by his former association with Woodburn this will be a very big change for the better. We all know it couldn't get much worse than SIR over the last few years.
